Fun Fall Things to Do in Santa Fe and Albuquerque

  • Indian Summer, 1835-1935 – This special fall event will be held on September 30 at William R. Talbot Fine Art. Starting from early treaties all the way through western expansion and 20th century romanticism, artists, mapmakers, and authors have documented relations with Native Americans. At this festival, you have the opportunity to learn more about the Native Indian culture and values. 

Fall Fun in Albuquerque

  • VIVA New Mexico Chile Festival – If you love spicy food this is the right event to attend. From September 4th through 6th, this festival is packed with fun and excitement for the entire family. There will be great food, live music, a petting zoo, pony rides, hayride tours, a corn maze, and more. 
  • 77th Annual New Mexico State Fair – If you plan being in Albuquerque September 10th through 20th, consider visiting the state fair. As one of the largest fairs in the United States, you are guaranteed plenty of fun. This year the fair will offer carnival rides, animals, agricultural, shopping, exhibits, food, and performances by nationally acclaimed country recording artists.
  • 11th Annual Old Town Salsa Fiesta – On September 12th you can visit this event and find salsa dancers and bands, crafts and kids’ activities, and a competition for the best homemade salsa.
